About

​1. We believe the Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testament Scriptures to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. Whatever is not revealed in or established by the Bible is not to be made an article of faith nor is it to be taught as essential to salvation.

2. We believe there is one and only one living and true God, a Spirit without body, indivisible and of infinite power. In the Unity of the Godhead there are three persons; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit co-eternal and equal in every divine perfection.

3. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His conception by the Holy Spirit and His birth by the Virgin Mary, His sinless life, miracles and sacrificial and atoning death. His bodily resurrection, and ascension to the right hand of the Father and His personal return in power and glory.

 

4. We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of the unsaved, the Spirit convicts of sin, righteousness, and judgment to come. In the life of the believer, the Spirit cleanses, fills and empowers for service.

5. We believe because of mans fall in the Garden he needed to be redeemed and that salvation is wholly of Grace, but conditioned alone on repentance toward God and acceptance of Christ by faith. When the sinner meets these requirements, God justifies him and regenerates him. Regeneration is the impartation of divine life affecting a change in the believer’s nature. By the operation of the Holy Spirit through the Word, the sinner is given a disposition to obey God. This experience is witnessed to by the Holy Spirit. Justification is a judicial act absolving from punishment and restoring to divine favor giving one eternal life, sealing them until the day of redemption. (John 10:28: Eph. 4:30)

6. Sanctification is that work of Grace which the Spirit of God does in the soul in carrying on and perfecting the work of Grace begun in the regeneration of the believer.

7. We believe in the literal, Premillennial return of Jesus Christ to the earth to rule and reign for a 1,000 years, which takes place after the rapture of the Church and the tribulation period.

​

8. We believe that God created Heavens and the earth in a literal six day period, and man was created by an act of God and not by process of evolution; and that man was also created in the image and likeness of God, possessing the power of choice, and his purpose was to glorify God.

9. We believe in the oneness of the true Church of Jesus Christ, composed of all Spirit-regenerated believers, and that those believers, both living and dead, shall be caught up together at the rapture of the Church, which could be at any time.

​

10. We believe the Biblical teaching about the fall of man; and that because of his fall, death passed upon all men and sin entered the world. Therefore, condemnation rests upon him, and he is forever lost, except he be born again. The saved will enjoy the eternal bliss of Heaven, the lost the eternal damnation of Hell.

11. We believe the Christian sacraments are water baptism and the Lord’s Supper, outward rites appointed by Christ to be administered in the Church, not as means of salvation, but as visible signs of the facts and realities of salvation.

• Water baptism is to be administered to believers only, and by immersion is the scriptural mode.

• The Lord’s Supper is partaking of the consecrated emblems of bread and unfermented wine. The Lord’s table should be open to all who are in right relationship with God, regardless of church affiliation.

 

12. We believe that the scriptural teaching concerning the financing of the Lord’s work is through tithes and offerings of God’s people.

13. We believe that the end of this age is approaching and the personal, imminent return of our Lord and Savior from heaven is a reality. Until then the Church is to evangelize the world and seek to win the lost to Christ.

​

14. We believe that civil government is of divine appointment for interest and good order of society; and that magistrates are to be prayer for, conscientiously honored, and obeyed, except in things opposed to the will of our Lord Jesus Christ who is Lord, or opposed to Biblical truth.

​

15. We believe throughout the whole scripture, heterosexuality (marriage between a biological male and female), is both assumed and affirmed as God’s order of creation.

​

16. We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, transgenderism, bestiality, incest, pedophilia, fornication, adultery and pornography are sinful perversions of God’s gift of sex.

​

17. We believe that the excess use of alcohol, (drunkenness, addition) or legal drugs (abuse or addiction) or the promotion of others to abuse alcohol or drugs is sinful.

​

18. We believe that manufacturing, selling, or using any illegal drugs is sinful.

​

19. We believe that any person who is knowingly, willing, openly and repeatedly sinning against God’s word with no regret, remorse, and/or repentance, shall be subject to disciplinary action by “The Church” including and not limited to:

     A.   Non-consideration for membership into CrossWay Bible Church.

     B.   Removal/expulsion from membership in CrossWay Bible Church.

20. We believe the King James Version of the Bible should be the version used in the preaching and teaching in Church, because it is considered the most accurate translation. Many versions have changed, or removed words which change the meaning of important Church doctrines.

​

21. We believe members of lodges or secret organizations who would hold beliefs contrary to God’s Word, such as the Masons could not become members of the church. 2 Corinthians 6:14; Eph 5:11
